Creatives, Curators, and Craftsmen

Some people don’t follow design culture, they help define it.

David Keeler, founder of Provide, is our Creative, Curator, and Craftsmen feature this month. We chose David because we resonate deeply with his collection and the values behind it.

From our first visit to Provide, there was an immediate sense of alignment and ease. The space felt considered. grounded and intentional.

Born in Alberta, David’s early curiosity led him outward. Montreal. San Francisco. New York. All shaped his eye.

While in New York, David attended Parsons School of Design. He went on to work in advertising and design for many years. Those experiences refined his understanding of form, material, and storytelling. Eventually, they led him to Vancouver. And to Provide.

The Evolution of Provide

Provide began as a lifestyle destination inspired by travel.

Over time, it became something more focused and personal.

“When Provide first opened, we had a particular vision for what the store would be,” David shares. Today, it is “more curated and a reflection of my own personal aesthetic.”

That evolution mirrors what we value in design. Clarity. Restraint. And intention over excess.

When selecting pieces for the store, David looks past aesthetics alone.

“I appreciate things that have been made by hand in limited quantities.” Authentic materials matter. “Wool, linen, wood, ceramics, glass and metals.” Texture, colour, and form come together to create pieces that feel “comforting, stylish and interesting.” This is why we appreciate working with curators like David. The work holds weight and earns its place.

Working W/ Designers

The same values guide how he chooses the artists and designers he works with. For David, staying power comes from commitment. “You can feel how important it is to them to be creative.” That level of care is something we look for as designers. It leads to pieces that last, both visually and emotionally.

Interior design has always been part of David’s world. So has community. Provide’s core mission is to support the local design community while building relationships with designers around the world. He regularly travels to international design fairs. Maison et Objet in Paris. 3 Days of Design in Copenhagen. Wanted in New York. Salone del Mobile in Milan. This broader perspective brings depth to the spaces we help our clients create.

His Advice to Home Owners

For homeowners, his advice is grounded and reassuring. “Creating a meaningful home is about collecting things over time that speak to you.” Each piece becomes “an additional layer that reflects your personality.” This belief aligns closely with our own. Homes are built in layers. slowly, with care.

David also works directly with Provide’s clients, helping with the final layers of a space. Textiles. Accessories. Objects. The elements that bring warmth and personal meaning. This collaborative approach is why relationships like this matter. Shared values lead to better outcomes for our clients.

His approach is never about filling a space. It’s about curating one. Choosing fewer pieces. Choosing them well. And creating homes that feel considered, lived in, and true.

Visit David & Experience Provide Firsthand

Visit Provide in Vancouver’s Armoury District. The space reflects David’s thoughtful approach to curation and craft.

We created this series to introduce the people we trust and work alongside. The creatives, curators, and craftsmen who help shape our projects behind the scenes. When you work with us, you’re not just hiring a design studio. You’re gaining access to a thoughtful network that adds depth, care, and intention at every stage.
