style in the city
I was thinking “then and now” for this article featured in both the Province and the Sun newspapers. Years ago, my sister and I had an article similar in the Province called “hot!”. Things have changed in the past few years but not my passion for style. I was delighted to be published in this Style in the City article. My objective was to showcase our local fashion boutiques, Bureaux Modern Mercantile and Montrose & George General Store. Fabulous choices in the Fraser Valley.

In January 2002, my sister, Nicki and myself were featured in The Province under the HOT! style *people*trends* shopping article. Our company was called Nickals…porch jewelry. We designed metal home decor and showed our line at the wholesale shows in Calgary, Toronto and Vancouver. We experienced the roller coaster ride of owning your own business. The experience was priceless.
personal style
I recently found newspaper clippings from The Province newspaper published in 2002. Paulo and I are still passionate about our home projects and have inspired our daughters to create their own personal style in their own surroundings.
