CAPE COD KITCHEN
This kitchen renovation holds a special place in our hearts—it’s Alison’s own home. As both designer and homeowner, she approached the project with years of dreaming and careful planning, aiming to honour the Cape Cod charm of the original architecture while elevating it with timeless, soulful design.
Alison chose a soft, tonal palette—eschewing traditional white in favour of a warm, monochromatic scheme that brings depth and quiet sophistication. Natural oak accents ground the space in organic warmth, while copper finishes lend an understated elegance that catches the light in all the right places.
Texture adds richness and dimension, with custom fluting details carried through the island, range hood, and banquette seating. These repeated elements introduce a sense of rhythm and handcrafted character, enhancing the serene flow of the space.
Large windows and an abundance of natural light—once overlooked—are now celebrated features, emphasized through thoughtful spatial planning and material choices. It’s a kitchen that feels lived-in, loved, and entirely authentic to Alison’s design philosophy: soulful living, artfully designed.
We’re thrilled to have had the incredibly talented Tracey Ayton capture this space so beautifully. Her eye for detail and ability to translate feeling into imagery brings this project to life in the way only she can.
