Nathan Avenue is a custom built 6400 square foot home on acreage in the Fraser Valley. I was referred to my clients, Dennis and Karen Winton, by the talented Steve and Nick Robson of Robson Home Builders. www.robsonhomebuilders.com Steve and Nick were incredible to partner with in this project. With years of experience, both were a wealth of information while guiding me through the stages of this build.

I loved that this house was a clean canvas, however there were special pieces and furnishings to incorporate into the interior. A rug brought back from a memorable trip to Turkey. A family shield to be displayed in the center of the custom wine cellar. Office furniture from their previous company with glass shelves to showcase Dennis’ awards and prize models. Mission accomplished – meaning was brought to this home.
Karen had purchased items she envisioned in certain rooms. The special soft pink light figure in the master en suite to be hung over the stand alone tub. The decorative sinks for the powder rooms and a glamorous crystal light fixture for one of the guest rooms that will be used on visits by her special friend that asked for “her” room to resemble a glitzy hotel.
Many appointments and meetings took place with suppliers to choose just the right embellishments. The three guest rooms and master bedroom have a unique feature wall, each with a different millwork pattern chosen by Karen. The ceilings have amazing patterns to compliment the wood panelling on the bottom half of walls in the dining room, living room and the elevator that resembles a quaint room rather than a form of transport from the top to bottom floor.
The gourmet kitchen includes high end appliances and a pantry including a separate butler’s pantry. The island cabinetry is an intense shade of gray with the surrounding cabinets a softer tone both perfectly fitted under a polished quartz with a slight sparkle. The main attraction in this area is the breakfast nook with floor to ceiling windows, lightly painted walls and a sentimental light fixture called the “Winton”.
The guest bedrooms are bright and cheerful with blush, vanilla and white finishes. We have mixed navy velvet furnishings with simply white walls. Blush with a grey flannel upholstered headboard with vintage white tables found second hand online.
The master en suite is a favorite of mine with a marble look from floor to ceiling along with beautifully crafted glass doors enclosing the shower with a heated bench. The standalone tub surrounded by windows looking out to the peacefulness of outside.

The media room is tone on tone with a stone paint from floor to ceiling with a patterned stone colored carpet creating a movie theater theme. Theatre seating is a red leather to coordinate with the vintage popcorn machine.

The unique details in this home are endless. What makes these detail in this home extraordinary are the considerations Dennis and Karen have made for the comfort of family and friends. It was a pleasure to work on this project with two special people who show love for the people in the world around them.
